Remove the cap from the inhaler. Shake the inhaler immediately before use as per the instructions supplied with it.
Insert the inhaler into the backpiece of the chamber. Put mouthpiece into mouth and ensure an effective seal.
The patient should inhale slowly and deeply through the mouth until a full breath has been taken followed by a 5-10 second breath hold, if possible. Alternatively, the patient can keep their mouth tight on the mouthpiece and breathe slowly 2-3 times through the chamber after the inhaler is pressed.

Slide the mask onto the chamber. Insert the inhaler into the backpiece of the chamber. Apply mask to face and ensure an effective seal.
Press the inhaler once at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Hold mask in place while the patient breathes in and out through the chamber for 5-6 breaths.

WARNING: Clean, disinfect and sterilize the chamber before using the chamber with a different patient to minimize the risk of cross infection.
1. Remove the backpiece (and mask if applicable) from the chamber body.
2. Soak the parts in a 0.5% solution of neodisher† MediClean (or similar) cleaning agent for 5 minutes, agitating gently.
3. Load the parts into a washer-disinfector compliant to ISO 15883-1, ensuring the chamber is oriented upright.
4. Run the cleaning and disinfection cycle. • Use cleaning agent neodisher† MediClean • The use of a rinse agent is optional 5
5. Following disinfection, remove parts from the washer-disinfector and shake to remove excess water.
6. Allow to air dry thoroughly prior to continuing to sterilization.
STERILIZATION
1. After cleaning, disinfection, and air dry, pack and seal the chamber parts in a sterilization pouch compliant to ISO 11607-1 & 2 or EN 868-5.
2. Load the pouch in the sterilizer.
3. Sterilize according to ISO 17665-1 Moist Heat with the following parameters: • 3 pre-vacuum phases • 134 °C sterilization temperature • 3.5 minutes hold time • 1 minute dry time
4. Re-attach the backpiece (and mask if applicable) to the chamber body prior to next use.
