A nebulizer compressor (also called a nebulizer machine) is a medical device intended to deliver compressed air to a jet or pneumatic nebulizer. Compressors can be electrically, or battery powered.
The OMBRA* Portable compressor system runs on wall outlet, battery or in your car with an adaptor. This compressor kit is supplied complete with an AEROECLIPSE* BAN* Nebulizer, 3 AC power adaptors, a 12V DC car adaptor and a convenient carrying case to store your treatment accessories.
Place your compressor on a clean, flat surface.
Inspect your nebulizer and ensure the green exhalation valve on the mouthpiece is facing down. Unscrew and remove the nebulizer top. Carefully place prescribed medication into the nebulizer cup and replace the nebulizer top. Keep the nebulizer in an upright position to prevent spills. The nebulizer may be placed in the cup holder on the compressor.
Securely connect the tubing to the bottom of the nebulizer and to the air outlet on your compressor.
In a comfortably seated position, switch on your compressor. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, ensuring your lips are sealed around the edge but aren’t covering the green exhalation valve. If you are using a mask, place securely over the nose and mouth, ensuring a good seal.
Breathe in slowly and deeply, then exhale normally through the device. Continue taking slow, deep breaths until the nebulizer begins to make a ‘sputter’ noise. Switch off your compressor when your treatment is complete.
Prior to cleaning the compressor, ensure the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet. Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the compressor housing. Never use harsh cleaners or chemical sprays directly on the compressor or its on/off switch. Do not immerse the power cord or unit in water or another liquid.
